3 family friendly activities to do in and around Huddersfield this winter

1. The Magical Forest, children’s play centre

If you’re a homeowner with particularly young children and want to enjoy a small break in amongst the Christmas time madness, we’d recommend The Magical Forest. It’s a family-run children’s play centre located on St. James’s Rd that’s open every day other than Saturday between the hours of 9:30am and 3:00pm. Kids as old as 10 can get in on all the soft play fun, sure to tire themselves out by climbing up and down the multi-tiered play area that includes a slide, ball pit, and so much more. The Magical Forest is COVID-19 secure, has an on-site café, and will more than life up to its “magical” name.

2. Stuck in the Riddle, escape room

If the age demographic of your family is a little bit older, you’ve surely heard of the Escape Room concept. Fortunately, Huddersfield has a handful to choose from, but the team here at Emereo would recommend Stuck in the Riddle. There are three different escape rooms to choose from: Murder Mystery, Cabin in the Woods, and Cape Escape. Knock over some pins, have a burger, and lose an hour or two on one of UK SuperBowl’s many arcade machines.
