Oldroyd Case Study

Mrs Oldroyd’s home was in desperate need of a window upgrade. The original windows in her home had been badly fitted with excessive gaps underneath the cills. In places, the old sealant was missing and was generally worn out and no longer providing a weathertight seal. These window problems had led to drafts making her home interior cold. It also meant that her home had become inefficient in terms of heat retention and thermal performance.

Modern glazing upgrade

For this project, the team at Emereo were tasked with replacing Mrs Oldroyd’s poorly performing original windows with modern energy efficient alternatives. The replacement windows chosen achieve an A+ rating for energy efficiency and will dramatically transform the thermal performance of Mrs Oldroyd’s home.

The new windows were also specified to comply with current fire safe regulations. This meant that they had to have an adequate sized opening capacity while maintaining a modern appearance which was in keeping with the surrounding properties. The large casement windows feature a side hung opening section which opens wide to provide ample space for emergency exit.

Liniar sculptured frames in white uPVC

To meet all our client’s requirements, we suggested using sculptured casement windows from industry renowned manufacturers Liniar. uPVC casement windows from Liniar provide some of the highest performance levels available today. The sculptured option provides a curved exterior profile line that perfectly fits in with the building’s modern appearance.

The Liniar glazing units are BFRC (British Fenestration Rating Council) certified with an energy efficiency rating of at least A+. Their white finish is fresh and bright and has given the property a new lease of life with a cool contemporary aesthetic.
