Mr. and Mrs. Bishop were looking for a full house of new windows and doors. Their existing glazing had become draughty and inefficient, and they had noticed a considerable amount of heat loss through their windows and doors. To rectify the problem, we carried out a full renovation project at their Huddersfield home to help to improve their property and enhance their standard of living.

Complete uPVC window replacement for Hudderfield Home

The focus of this home renovation project was to replace all 11 of the property’s existing windows. The property is a rurally located detached house with a distinctive yellow brick façade. To match the property’s unique character and picturesque location, the Bishops opted for a full suite of uPVC windows finished externally in Anthracite Grey.

Anthracite Grey is the perfect choice for creating a classy, understated aesthetic. It’s subtle shade tastefully accentuates the property’s individual character with style and charm. The uPVC frames are low maintenance and provide outstanding levels of thermal performance.

To help brighten up the interior of the property, the Bishops chose dual coloured window frames. Internally, all the windows are finished in brilliant white to reflect natural light around their home.

High security composite doors

For both the front and rear entrance doors, the Bishops selected high security composite doors, also finished in Anthracite Grey. With a stylish chrome bar handle and decorative glass panel, the new front door makes a feature of the property’s entranceway. The rear composite door features a large glass section in the upper half to optimise natural light intake and a classic lever handle also finished in chrome.

Both composite doors are fitted with high security Ultion locks. Industry renowned for their outstanding strength and security, Ultion locks will withstand even the most sustained attempts at forced entry.

To complete the home entrance in style, we also installed an overhead entrance canopy to provide shelter when entering through the front door. The pre-formed canopy and gallows brackets were supplied by Canopies UK and were fitted with the aid of a scaffold tower.

French doors with integral blinds

At the rear of the property, a set of French doors were specified to open out onto a raised decking area. For the French doors, the glass and blinds were supplied by Morley Glass and Glazing, UK specialists in innovative integral blinds.

Fitted within the sealed unit during manufacture, integral blinds provide all the privacy of traditional blinds without the need for regular cleaning and maintenance. The Bishops chose horizontal blinds for their home that were finished in a subtle grey shade to match the rest of the property’s appearance.
